FLAT ROOF INSTALLATION

Flat roofing is a popular choice for commercial and industrial premises because it is cost-effective, easy to install, and can provide storage solutions. However, because of the nature of industrial roofing, it is more likely to experience the harsher effects from bad weather.
It’s therefore important to install the right system and covering to minimise the risk of damage.

Keeping the roof well-maintained is key.

We Provide The Following Flat Roofing Systems:

Single Ply Roofing

Single-ply commercial roofs are suitable for a wide range of applications, including refurbishment projects. Options include insulated or single layers depending on the type of premises and budget.

This type of flat roofing is very popular thanks in large part to its flexibility which can accommodate versatile designs, and its durability. This helps to provide maximum performance, and quick installation at an affordablecost with a long life expectancy.

The quality of the products available for single-ply roofing has dramatically increased in recent years, particularly for large roof areas, making it a durable option for commercial buildings.

The installation of this type of finish does not require a flame, which means that a hot works permit is not required to conduct the works.

What single-ply membranes do you install?

Roofclad installs single-ply membranes such as Renolit, Sika Trocal, Fatra, and many more.

Built up Felt Roofing

Commercial felt roofing systems are suitable for a wide range of applications, including replacement and refurbishment projects. They can provide an insulated option to increase thermal performance or single layers, depending on your specifications.

Today’s felt has come a long way in recent years and is no longer associated with being a low quality product. Felt is a high-performance, polyester-based, elastomeric material and has a very high tensile strength that allows for any structural or thermal movement at  roof level.

The application process allows the system to be applied to most surfaces including timber, asphalt, felt, and metal. Felt roofing can be installed using self adhesive or torch on techniques..

These systems come with labour and material-backed guarantees, to ensure your flat roofing is watertight for a period of up to 35 Years.

What felt systems can you install?

Felt suppliers such as SIGNature, Garland, Icopal, Bauder, and many more all offer substantial warranties. Our operatives are fully trained to install these systems.

Liquid Applied Flat Roofing

A Liquid coated flat roof is suitable for a wide range of applications, including refurbishment projects. They can be offered in an all-encompassing insulated option or single layers, depending on your specifications and budget.

Liquid Roofing Systems are cold-applied systems for both cold and warm roof designs that cure into flexible waterproof coatings designed to adjust to fixings, seams, welds, and joints. This type of coating system is usually reinforced with secondary materials such as fibre-glass to provide additional tensile strength.

Liquid Roofing can be applied to various materials including felt, concrete, metal, and more. They provide long-lasting protective solutions for all types of flat and pitched roofs, including skid-inhibiting walkways if required. Liquid systems can sometimes be combined with a single-ply & felt roof to waterproof around challenging details for example steel columns protruding through a flat roof.

The purpose of liquid flat roofing is to provide a cost-effective method of waterproofing a new or existing roof. It can deliver up to 25 years of performance depending on the coating system used.

What liquid suppliers do you use?

Liquid suppliers that are used but not limited to are Centaur Coatings & Tor Coatings.

Commercial Flat Roof Repair

We are also able to offer flat roofing repair and maintenance regardless of the size of your premises. Typical repair works conducted include liquid coating, felt repair, fixing replacement, and roof sheet replacement on a wide range of properties.

FAQ’s

How long does a commercial flat roof last?

A commercial flat roof can last anywhere between 10 and 35 years. The durability of any industrial roof will depend on a number of factors such as the quality of materials used, the standard of expertise used by the fitters, the weather conditions and how well the roof is maintained and repaired.

What is the best type of roofing material for a commercial flat roof?

This will depend on your needs. Single-ply roofing is incredibly popular as it can accommodate a wide range of designs. It is also extremely durable. A built-up felt roof is popular in refurbishment projects. A liquid-applied flat roofing system can typically be installed to provide a cost-effective method of making a new or existing roof waterproof.

How much does it cost to install a flat roof?

Each project is different and will have different cost implications. The cost of installing commercial flat roofing will depend on a number of factors such as the type of roofing you choose, the size of your premises, your location, and distance from our base are some of the things that will affect installation costs. An additional contributory factor will be the health and safety measures required to carry out the works in a way that ensures the safety of our operatives and any other person that may be affected by the works
