The Project

Saint-Gobain Weber, a global leader in construction and sustainability, awarded us a contract to replace 6,000m² of roofing at their factory in Flitwick. The works involved the safe removal of the existing asbestos chrysotile roof and the installation of a built-up metal roof system, carried out while factory production continued uninterrupted.

Client Problems

The existing roof required full replacement to meet modern performance standards. As the factory is central to operations, the works needed to be delivered without disruption to production. In addition, Saint-Gobain Weber required a safe, collaborative approach that aligned with their high standards for sustainability and health and safety.

Our Solution

We worked closely with the client to carry out a stringent due diligence process and develop a robust Health & Safety Management Plan. This allowed production to continue safely while works progressed.

Our team delivered the project within the cost framework agreement, ensuring:

  • Careful removal and safe disposal of the asbestos chrysotile roof.
  • Installation of a built-up metal roof system designed for durability and energy efficiency.
  • Incorporation of new rooflights and guttering systems to improve performance.
  • The new roof supports Saint-Gobain Weber’s commitment to sustainability, providing a modern, energy-efficient solution that aligns with their long-term goals.

Client Feedback

“Roofclad Systems undertook the complete warehouse roof replacement project for Weber covering over 6000m² and have completed with exceptional results. Dave and the whole team from Roofclad Systems have done a fantastic job running this project and excelled with their customer service, safety management and professionalism over the past 7 months onsite. I would have no problem recommending them or inviting them to undertake more work for us here at Weber Flitwick. Great job everyone – Thank you.”
