The Project
INSULATED SINGLE PLY OVERLAY
Following on from a re- roof of the Morrisons Bishop Auckland store earlier in the year we were awarded the contract to re- roof to the Morrisons store in Hull.
- 4,400m2 overlay and re-roofing of flat roof
- 9 week contract duration

Client Problems:
The building had been experiencing significant amounts of water ingress through the original flat roofing system which was impacting on the day to running of the supermarket.
The original roof had very low thermal value in comparison with today’s standards and a large amount of heat was being lost through the flat roof. Thus a combination of a roof that leaked in any inclement weather and one that resulted in excessive heating costs for the company through poor insulation.
Solution:
Roofclad provided a new insulated Fatra FF810 mechanically fixed single ply overlay roof system complete with a new access and walkway system.
The client has now a new Fatra roof that will last for in excess of 30 years as indicated by the British Board of Agreement.
