CBRE Sophos

CBRE, as building managers for the Sophos facility in Abingdon, commissioned us to upgrade the internal roof gutters to maintain watertight integrity and protect the structure from water damage. The works were carried out in full compliance with CBRE’s stringent health, safety, and environmental standards.

Three internal roof gutters were damaged and required replacement with a long-lasting, watertight solution. The client required minimal disruption to building operations during the upgrade and full adherence to CBRE’s robust health, safety, and environmental protocols.

We delivered a bespoke Plygene® Gutterline installation, incorporating:

• Industrial standard cleaning and preparation of the three damaged internal roof gutters.
• Installation of PVC-formed waterproof liners fitted with HD Sharman’s Plygene® Gutterline – a seamless, BBA-certified “gutter within a gutter” solution with a 25-year guarantee.
• Strict adherence to health and safety procedures, including edge protection, fall arrest systems, safe access/egress, and regular site inspections.
• Clear, consistent communication through regular meetings with the client and our contracts supervisor.
• Toolbox talks for all staff to ensure safety awareness prior to undertaking specific tasks.
• All works were planned and executed under detailed RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements) and safe systems of work to guarantee full HSE compliance.
