Booker Ltd, a leading UK wholesale provider, commissioned us to carry out a full commercial roofing refurbishment at their Sandown cash-and-carry store. The project focused on delivering a durable, energy-efficient roof system while allowing the store to continue operations throughout.

The existing roof required replacement with a system that enhanced energy efficiency and complied with Part L of the Building Regulations. The challenge was maintaining safe working conditions and keeping the store operational during works, including parking lot access and pedestrian safety.

• We developed a carefully coordinated plan:
  Installed safety netting and crash decks outside business hours to protect staff and customers.
• Removed the existing roof in accordance with regulations.
• Installed 115mm Kingspan QuadCore® KS1000RW roof panels to achieve a U-value of 0.16 W/m²K.
• Fitted Brett Martin Triple Skin Energysaver FAIRS rooflights for improved natural lighting and non-fragility compliance.
• Refurbished guttering and replaced downpipes with a plastisol-coated system for optimal rainwater management.
• Supplied and installed a vertical roof access ladder and an SFS Soter II horizontal safety lifeline system to allow safe future maintenance.
• Fully complied with asbestos, health and safety, CDM, and work-at-height regulations.
