Roofclad Systems Achieves CHAS Elite Membership and Completes the Common Assessment Standard

We’re proud to announce that Roofclad Systems has officially become a CHAS Elite member, having successfully completed the Common Assessment Standard, the construction industry’s gold standard for prequalification and risk management.

This significant achievement confirms that we meet compliance requirements across 13 key areas of risk management, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to safety, quality, responsibility, and professionalism.

What is the Common Assessment Standard?

Developed by Build UK, the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA), and other leading industry bodies, the Common Assessment Standard was designed to streamline the contractor prequalification process.

This widely recognised assessment helps clients and contractors reduce supply chain risks, improve efficiency, and ensure consistent, high-quality standards across projects. It builds on the established PAS 91 prequalification questionnaire — but goes further, covering a broader scope and deeper compliance benchmarks.

What does the Common Assessment Standard cover?

Roofclad Systems has demonstrated compliance across the following 13 areas of risk management:

  1. Identity – Verified to legally operate within the UK.
  2. Financial – Assessed for financial stability and risk minimisation.
  3. Insurance – Fully insured to cover liabilities, disruptions, and legal exposures.
  4. Corporate and Professional Standing – Verified for ethical and legal corporate behaviour.
  5. Health and Safety – Proven policies and practices to protect everyone on and around our sites.
  6. Environmental – Active steps taken to reduce environmental impact and meet sustainability standards.
  7. Quality – Certified processes to ensure consistent, high-standard project delivery.
  8. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) – A fair and inclusive workplace culture promoted and maintained.
  9. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – Positive contributions to society and responsible business practices embedded into our operations.
  10. Information Security – Protection of personal and business data in line with GDPR requirements.
  11. Information Management – Structured control and development of design and project information.
  12. Anti-Bribery & Corruption – Robust safeguards in place to prevent unethical or illegal conduct.
  13. Modern Slavery – Active risk management and ethical sourcing practices to combat human trafficking and modern slavery.
