Vijay Fashions Ltd, a leading UK clothing wholesaler, commissioned Roofclad Systems to address deterioration of their metal roof, which was causing multiple leaks. The project aimed to extend the roof’s lifespan while ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.

• Extensive corrosion along edge laps, tail joints, roof fixings, flue pipes, and gable upstand flashings.
• Vulnerable brickwork and failing gutter system.
• Roof showing signs of leaks and general deterioration.
• Required careful planning to avoid disruption to daily business operations.

• Cut Edge Corrosion Treatment: removed loose coatings and applied HD Sharman Seamsil® 100 silicone sealant to encapsulate damaged lap joints, providing a 15-year warranty and preventing reverse side corrosion.
• Gutter System Overhaul: cleaned and flushed gutters, then installed HD Sharman Plygene® Gutterline, a seamless “gutter within a gutter” BBA-certified system with a 25-year guarantee.
• Remedial Roofing Works: replaced approximately 300 corroded fixings, replaced failing gable flashings, repointed coping stones, and resealed vulnerable brickwork.
• All works carried out in full compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015, and Work at Height Regulations 2005.
